Academy of Medical Sciences
Academy of Medical Sciences funds researchers across disciplines and from developing countries and the UK to forge new links and generate innovative research ideas to address global challenges.
Newton Advanced Fellowships
This scheme provides established international researchers with an opportunity to develop the research strengths and capabilities of their research group through training, collaboration and reciprocal visits with a partner in the UK. The programme promotes skills and knowledge exchange with the aim of addressing global challenges and supporting economic development and social welfare in partner countries.
The scheme, which is delivered by Academy of Medical Sciences alongside the Royal Society and British Academy, offers up to three years’ funding to early career group and network leaders in partner countries to develop their research by linking them with some of the best research groups in the UK.
Newton International Fellowships
This scheme provides early career international researchers with an opportunity to build links and undertake a research project for an extended period with leading researchers in the UK. The programme promotes skills and knowledge exchange with the aim of addressing global challenges and supporting economic development and social welfare in partner countries.
In partnership with the British Academy and Royal Society, the Academy of Medical Sciences funds, for up to two consecutive years, early career post-doctoral researchers from partner countries to carry out a research project with a host within some of the UK’s first-class research environments.
