Newton Fund evaluation and online survey launched
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has commissioned a Newton Fund evaluation and launched a new online survey for Newton Fund awardees in the UK and in partner countries.
As part of its commitment to learning and accountability, BEIS has commissioned consulting firm Tetra Tech to conduct an independent and robust analysis of the fund's activities.
The purpose of the online survey is to assess the reach of the fund's activities across partner countries, and to establish award-holder experiences and - where possible - any outcomes or impacts achieved as a result of Newton Fund support.
The survey is for award-holders in the UK and all active Newton Fund partner countries.
Have you been supported by the Newton Fund? Follow this link to complete the survey. It should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete. The survey will close on Monday 7 September.
To date BEIS has delivered six evaluation reports on the early life of Newton Fund and the Global Challenges Research Fund and the Department is already making improvements as a result of the previous findings. One key area is the delivery of the Transformation Project to enable more efficient portfolio management, better financial reporting and transparency, and improved recording of process and responsibilities.
The evaluation will ensure BEIS continues to learn and improve, building on previous experience to deliver a highly effective programme of activities in an open and transparent way.
